It’s election time for SY 2020-2021, the time where the Supreme Pupil Government will choose the next set of leaders of the school. At Pasong Santol Elementary School the election was participated by Grades 3 to 5 pupils which is about 400 pupils. This organization aims to develop learners into a well-equipped individual in the future who can take their place responsibly in its service of the school and in the community.
There were two participating parties (Students Alliance Party and Students United party) and each had 10 members aiming to be in the position they desired. A screening of the candidates was held last February 6 which involved interrogation of the selected pupils. It aims to test the determination of the candidate and their will in pursuing their goal to become a student leader.
On Feb.8 the filing of Certificate of Candidacy took place according to their respective party. There was a campus- wide meeting de Avance or debate held at the school stage on Feb. 11. Each party was given a time to present their platforms, goals, reasons why they should win and their future projects for the school.
On Feb. 12, 2020, the voting process started from 10 am to 3 pm. The ballots were collected and counted by grade level led by the outgoing SPG officers with the supervision of the SPG adviser. The said election is a success and at the end of the day, the new set of officers were proclaimed.
